Protest Ritter and Support Our Troops

On May 18th, 2009, we held a rally to support our troops and to protest Governor Ritters support for SB 09-1317 (No State Lands for Pinon Canyon Expansion).  With three television stations covering our protest, we were able to get the message out that this bill is a job-killer and a slap in the face to our service men and women, who dedicate their lives for our country.

2009 Beach Party and Chili Cookoff

The El Paso County Republicans gathered in Calhan in May to meet candidates, taste some chili and "hang loose" together.  Everyone enjoyed the Kahuna Beach Party Band and the opportunity to visit with fellow Republicans.  The hit of the day was Representative Kent Lambert's participation in the surf board riding contest.  Just look at him ride the wave!


Former El Paso County Republican Headquarters
We moved from our 710 S. Tejon St. location to a new headquarters. We wanted to keep the beautiful mural painted by Jeannie Lamborn but we couldn't take the wall with us - so we have this photo to remind us.

2009 Lincoln Day Dinner

The high point of the evening was when "Mother" Mary Harold was recognized for her loyal, committed work in support of the Republican Party with the Lifetime Achievement Award by outgoing chairman Greg Garcia and incoming chairman Kay Rendleman. This was the first-time this award has been given and was awarded because of the unique level of support and commitment Harold has given the Republican Party
