What We're Doing

With the advent in 2007 of a new Chairman - Greg Garcia - and a new Executive Committee including many new Bonus Members, there has been an emphasis on forming a strong and healthy infrastructure for the organization.

This new structure includes four main areas of emphasis: Administration, Membership, Funding, and Marketing/Communication. A six-year business plan has been created and a budget has been formed. As part of our plan moving forward, the party has hired full and part-time staff and is reconstituting a dynamic volunteer corps. We already have nearly 100 individuals in key positions and helping with various teams; our plan for 2008 involves nearly three times that number and for 2009/2010 we would like to see a volunteer corps of nearly 500 people with specific roles in the organization.  This team of 500 will be the heart and soul of a volunteer organization that during critical election timeframes (like the Republican 72 Hour Plan to get out the vote) swells to thousands of people working to win elections.

In addition to changes in our personnel infrastructure, we have purchased a new technology system for managing our data so that we can more quickly and effectively communicate to the voters of El Paso County, Colorado. As the fastest growing and largest county in all of Colorado, we play a very serious  role in statewide and national elections. Republican Gubernatorial, Senatorial, and Presidential candidates alike must all win El Paso County with an excessive number of votes to make up for the pockets of Liberal Democrats in areas like Boulder and parts of Denver.

We are rebuilding and reconstituting your El Paso County Republican organization to be strong and ready to charge forward in 2008, 2010, and beyond.
